Port of Tallinn has announced the availability of a 20\u2011hectare prime development area directly on the quayside at Muuga Harbour, Estonia\u2019s largest cargo port. The site offers companies a rare opportunity to establish or expand manufacturing, logistics, and value\u2011added operations with immediate access to deep\u2011water berths, multimodal transport connections, and a full range of on\u2011site port services.<\/p>\n
Port of Tallinn is preparing to initiate\u00a0 a detailed spatial (land\u2011use) plan for the area, enabling the developer’s involvement \u00a0in the planning process.<\/p>\n
Quayside plot sizes can be adjusted based on developer\u2019s needs, ranging from a few hundred square metres up to the full 20 hectares. If required, adjacent areas immediately behind the quay are available, as well as industrial plots nearby within the port area that already have an approved detailed spatial plan.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe key advantage of this development area lies in its unique quayside location, which provides a significant benefit for companies that use sea transport as their primary logistics connection,\u201d said Rene P\u00e4rt, Member of the Management Board and Chief Business Development Officer at Port of Tallinn. The area is also connected to railway and road networks, adding value to resilient supply chains. Its location within a free zone provides tax benefits and simplified customs procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cMuuga Harbour will be the only harbour in the Baltic States where Rail Baltica terminal will be established within the port area. Forward\u2011looking investors already see the benefits this connection brings – improved access to the rest of Europe, increased cargo volumes, and faster, more flexible logistics,\u201d P\u00e4rt added.<\/p>\n
Port of Tallinn provides support throughout the permitting and development process, helping to accelerate time to operation. The port works closely with investors and facilitates connections with relevant government and investment networks.<\/p>\n
