Enterprise Estonia opted to support the development of Estonian Logistics Cluster with 12.8 million Estonian kroons, which up to the date is the most substantial contribution to the cluster.<\/b><\/p>\n

The objective of the application ‘The development of the Estonian Logistics Cluster’ submitted by MTÜ Logistika ja Transiidi Assotsiatsioon<\/em> (NGO Association of Logistics and Transit) is to market the potential of Estonian Logistics sector in various target markets and countries, and to increase the export turnover, preceded by the development of unified products and services with high export potential, a centralised information channel and unified visual identity and messages. The program is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).<\/p>\n

The total cost of the logistics cluster project amount to EEK 18.4 million, of which the EEK 12.8 million is funded by Enterprise Estonia. Cluster involves 18 partners, including Port of Tallinn, Port of Sillamäe, Paldiski Harbours, Estonian Railways, Tallinn Airport, and Tallinn University of Technology.<\/p>\n

“Estonian logistics sector is highly developed and from the export point of view it can be considered a key area. Forming the cluster will facilitate the promotion of the sector in the foreign markets and the unification of our outgoing messages,” commented Pille-Liis Kello, the Director of the Capability Division of Enterprise Estonia. “We believe that the synergy generated with the cluster will open up new opportunities for the Estonian logistics sector in the foreign markets and has a positive impact on the growth of the export turnover,” she volunteered.<\/p>\n

As the result of the activities of the cluster, the export turnover of the cluster members is expected to increase at least 30% within the next five years.<\/p>\n

The Estonian Logistics Cluster is uniting Tallinn Airport, Port of Tallinn, Port of Sillamäe, Paldiski Harbours, Estonian Ports Association, Estonian Railways, E.R.S., Spacecom, Contimer, Vopak E.O.S., Alexela Logistics, Esteve Terminal, Bominflot Estonia, Smarten Logistics, Tallinn University of Technology, Erahariduskeskus AS, and the State Resources Centre.<\/p>\n

The Port of Tallinn together with the Estonian Railways has been one of the main initiators and promoters of the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
