General cargo / break bulk is handled in two different harbours – Muuga Harbour and Paldiski South Harbour.

All our cargo harbours have the capacity to handle general cargo /break bulk either individually or in unitised or palletised loads. The Port of Tallinn has both indoor and outdoor storage space as well as specialized freezer storage available for the general cargo handling.

A wide range of warehousing, consolidation and distribution (value-added) services are provided (including packing, unpacking and repacking, combining of cargo for consolidated shipments, weighing services, etc). As all our harbours are well integrated into the road and rail networks, the operators in our harbours can provide so called added value services by transhipment of goods between the different means of transportation (container, motor vehicle or railway) in addition to the regular transit and storage services. Furthermore, the Muuga Harbour free economic zone has simplified customs procedure.
