We are more than happy to announce that the Estonian Responsible Business Forum recognized Port of Tallinn with the Gold Label!
Head of Marketing and Communication of Port of Tallinn Sirle Arro, accepted the award at the gala held by the Estonian Responsible Business Forum.
Port of Tallinn participated in the responsible business index questionnaire organized by the Estonian Responsible Business Forum in order to once again receive an external assessment of the company’s socially responsible and sustainable activities.
Port of Tallinn received a high rating in the governance category (G), which shows a strong system in management: the company’s sustainable development strategy is related to the company’s general strategy and the UN’s sustainable development goals. The port actively participates in social cooperation organizations, there are also principles for achieving the goals of responsible business in cooperation with partners. In the category society and social environment (S), the cooperation of the port with the local community and the design of an attractive public space were recognized. In addition, the training of employees and the contribution to their health and safety were praised.
In the category climate and environment (E), it was praised that the port has an overview of the emissions resulting from the company’s activities and an action plan and specific goals to reduce its environmental footprint.
