In 9 months, most goods were transported via the Port of Tallinn and the port of Klaipeda

When comparing the largest ports of the Baltic region for the first 9 months of the current year, the most goods were transported via the Port of Tallinn and the port of Klaipeda; the Port of Riga is not far behind.

The 9-month total volume of goods transported through the Port of Tallinn increased by 0.9 percent when compared to the last year, reaching the level of 27.50 million tonnes. In September, the Port of Tallinn passed on 2.65 million tonnes of goods.

The Port of Klaipeda in Lithuania handled 27.4 million tonnes of goods in those 9 months, which is an increase of 21.8 percent. 2.9 million tonnes of goods passed through the Port of Klaipeda in September, which is 16.4 percent more than last year.

The Port of Riga loaded 25.17 million tonnes of goods in nine months; this is 12.8 percent more than in the same period one year before. In September, the goods turnover of the Port of Riga reached nearly 2.6 million tonnes.
