International conference on 13th December in Bologna – Biblioteca Sala Borsa Auditorium Biagi

Port-hinterland integration for co-modal and sustainable supply chain, this will be the title of the international conference organized within the European project Hinterport, that will take place on 13th December at the Auditorium Biagi (Sala Borsa) in Bologna (Italy).

The aim of this initiative is to foster a debate among several internationally renowned speakers and the audience, on the central issue of the event, with a clear focus on assessing and quantifying the economical and environmental benefits resulting from a more efficient integration between the ports and the inland terminals.

 

The conference programme has been carefully structured so to reflect the main intention of the organizers to have a core technical session, which will be field by representatives of some of the major European ports and inland terminals and renowned worldwide logistics operators presenting to the audience innovative intermodal solutions already implemented.

 

There will be also a panel dedicated to the European institutions, primarily centered on the last European Commission White Paper and on the initiatives supporting a single European transport area.

 

The conference will also celebrate the end of the Hinterport project, and will be the occasion for all participants to build up innovative relationships and actions to rapidly boost the synergies and cooperative solutions for effective port-hinterland integration.
