Port of Tallinn participated in the Estonian Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) Index 2014 questionnaire organized by the Responsible Business Forum in Estonia and got acknowledged as socially responsible and sustainable company. Port of Tallinn was awarded CSR Index bronze level.
77 Estonian companies participated in the questionnaire and 49 companies were awarded the CSR Index bronze, silver or gold level showing the good quality of implementing socially responsible and sustainable principals in their business activity.
According to Marko Siller, the CEO of theResponsible Business Forum in Estonia, the newcomers like Port of Tallinn, Iss Estonia, Kaubamaja, Nordea Bank, AAB Estonia and Dimela were most outstanding regarding their sustainability policies. Tallinn Airport and the National Real Estate significantly improved their result compared to last year.
Port of Tallinn became a member of the Responsible Business Forum in Estonia in February this year. The Responsible Business Forum in Estonia is a recognized organization that unites companies in Estonia who value principals of sustainability and social responsibility and implement these principals consistently in their work.
The Responsible Business Forum in Estonia offers companies support in implementing sustainable business policies and carries out the Estonian Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility (CSR) Index questionnaire, which is an authorized CSR evaluation system in Estonia. Index aims to assist companies in defining, evaluating and monitoring their economic, social and environmental impact. It enables companies to receive feedback and compare their results with those of other companies, thus identifying the future needs for development.
