Port’s Blood Donation Day was a success

51 people visited Port’s Blood Donation Day held on February 17th, at Port of Tallinn. Of all the donors 12 people donated blood for the first time. Blood Donation Day at the port was held third year in a row and compared to last year the number of donors increased by 9 people or 26 percent.

 

Blood Donation Day at the port was organized by Port of Tallinn and Viking Line in cooperation with the North Estonia Medical Centre’s Blood Centre. The aim of organizing a Blood Donation Day at the workplace is to popularize blood donation and to make it as easy and convenient as possible.

 

Donating blood in Estonia is voluntary and every blood donation helps to save someone’s life.
